Why we built it
I'm a practicing Georgia attorney. Like a lot of us, I'm regularly due in three counties on the same morning. That meant conflict letters the week before, hours in the car the day of, and judges waiting on me. When I did find coverage, it took a string of texts and a favor owed, with no record of what happened. I built LexProxy so Georgia attorneys can cover each other the way we already do, only verified, private and on the record.

Yes. Every attorney who offers to take your posting shows up on it with their completed appearances, reviews and a note. You pick one; nobody is assigned automatically or first-come. You can also offer a posting to your favorite or past attorneys first.
You type the total you're willing to pay, and that's the most you'll pay: LexProxy's fee is part of that total, never added on top. Founding Members pay no LexProxy fee on postings made through November 7, so the whole total goes to the attorney who covers. The covering attorney sees their pay (at least $85) before they commit and receives all of it. On short notice (a hearing less than 24 hours after you post), $20 of your total goes to the covering attorney as a bonus, all of it theirs. After November 7, LexProxy's part of your total is $29 per covered job, $39 when the hearing is less than 24 hours after you post, $44 when you expect it to take 3 hours or more, and $54 for both. Paying by bank account (ACH) takes $4 off ($25, $35, $40 and $50).
It's a fixed fee per covered job, set only by how much notice you give and how long you expect the hearing to take, paid by the posting attorney out of the total they choose, never added on top. It's never a percentage of the fee and never a share of a client's legal fees, and nothing is taken out of the covering attorney's pay.
Through Stripe once the posting attorney accepts the work, or automatically 3 days after the report if they don't respond. No invoices to chase, and year-end tax forms come from Stripe.
Before anyone can post or cover, LexProxy checks their Georgia Bar number and standing and that their account email matches their Bar record.
The marketplace shows only the court, date, hearing type and fee. Only the attorney you select sees conflict names, and case details open only after they attest there's no conflict.
You paste your calendar's private link (Outlook, MyCase, Clio, Google, Apple and more) and LexProxy reads it to flag double-bookings and nearby work. It's used only for you: nobody else sees your calendar, and LexProxy doesn't store its contents.
Cancelling a court appearance is free until 24 hours before the hearing; after that the covering attorney receives half the agreed fee. Reschedules go to the covering attorney to accept or decline. The Terms have the details.
